It can be overwhelming when making decisions regarding the aftercare of your loved one. Please see below for options regarding local cremation services. Please take careful consideration before making arrangements. Decisions you will have to make may include:

Individual vs communal cremation: individual means you will get only your loved one’s ashes returned to you, communal means they will be cremated together with other pets and usually spread on the crematorium’s own grounds/gardens (which can often be visited).

Scatter tube vs casket/urn: a scatter tube may be simplest if you are planning to scatter the ashes upon return, though if you wish to keep them close, you may prefer a casket/urn (a small container).

Cost: cremation prices vary depending on your location, pet’s weight, cremation type, transportation and the return of any ashes.

Additional options: there are often extra items to consider at your own discretion, e.g. keepsakes, jewellery, photoframes, engravings, memorials, and more, either from the crematorium directly or from a separate third party.

Collection vs self transport: most services offer collection following a home euthanasia visit; alternatively, you may prefer to do this yourself.

Services & viewings: some locations offer intimate small funeral services, which may not be for everyone.
