About JARVS

Hi, I’m James, founder and sole owner. Welcome to J. A. Robinson Vet Services (or JARVS, for short). I graduated from the University of Surrey’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and began my career in East Anglia working in mixed practice. Whilst I enjoyed the diversity and developed a strong interest in farm work, I have since focused predominantly on companion animal care.

I first established JARVS whilst living in Norfolk in 2023 as a way to work additional locum vet shifts on top of my full-time role. This was initially to save up for my wedding and continued until 2024, when I started locuming exclusively for the flexibility offered. After a busy few years, I have now settled permanently in Stevenage with my wife, daughter and Collie-Lab (see pictured, Tilly!).

It has long been a dream to run a veterinary practice, and more recent plans have led me to transform JARVS into a mobile veterinary business. It is a small starting place, but a way in which I truly believe I can make a difference. My ethos as a vet revolves around communication, honesty and putting your pet’s well-being first.

I currently hold ‘Official Veterinarian’ status and I am also studying for a post graduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine. JARVS has appropriate professional indemnity, public liability and business vehicle insurance.
